Baseboard & Trim Calculator

Enter room dimensions, doorway width to exclude, and board length to calculate baseboard boards needed.

6 boards
41.0 linear ft needed (45.1 ft with waste allowance) — room perimeter 44.0 ft

Miter cuts at corners use a bit more material than a straight cut — the waste allowance above accounts for that plus mistakes. Add extra if the room has many inside/outside corners.

Frequently asked questions

Why exclude doorway width?+

Baseboard doesn't run across door openings, so subtracting doorway widths from the room perimeter gives a more accurate material estimate.
